Job Title: Janitorial/Kitchen Support Staff FLSA: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Department: Senior Center Reports to: Senior Citizen Director

Pay Range: 10.00/hr

General Purpose:

Keep all pots, pans and cooking utensils clean and put away. Assist janitor with daily general cleaning of building and equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Wash, dry and put away all pots, pans and cooking utensils.
• Wash, dry, fold and put away kitchen towel and aprons.
• Assists the cook(s) in cleaning food preparation areas and equipment.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floor daily.
• Mop dining room floor daily
• Maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Assists janitor with general cleaning
• Must be able to work as a team

Minimum Qualifications:

• Dependable.
• Able to learn basic tasks and follow instructions.
• Well-groomed and willing to follow dress requirements.
• Able to regularly lift up to 20 pounds consistently, occasionally lift over 40 pounds. and to spend long periods of time on your feet.
• Valid Oklahoma State driver\'s license.
• Successful passing of required background check.

General Requirements:

• Free of communicable disease
• Able to physically/mentally perform tasks, as verified by a health screening that includes TB clearance
• Criminal record clearance
• Current First-Aid certification
• Food Workers\xe2\x80\x99 License
• Ability to read, write and understand English
• General understanding of the needs of the elderly
• Willingness to learn

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in a restaurant/kitchen environment.
