The primary purpose of this position is to help oversee the quality control and improvement of all operations within Correction Enterprises help train employees and offenders engaged in process improvement measures with a focus on promoting Kaizen events and the CE Kata program.
These processes involve the use of various assortments of quality improvement, while increasing the production output with Lean Six Sigma tools to effectively decrease non-value-added steps in any proven process.
This position manages all aspect of the KPO and assigned KPO staff.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with . Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

About the NC Dept. of Adult Correction (DAC): The Dept. of Adult Correction is responsible for the care, custody, and supervision of all adults sentenced after conviction for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes State Prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as the division of Community Supervision. Other divisions include Administration, Compliance & Accreditation, Comprehensive Health Services, Internal Affairs & Intelligence Operations, Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission, and Rehabilitation & Reentry.

To qualify for this position, applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:
Thorough knowledge of Lean manufacturing Practices current Greenbelt or higher from the American Society for Quality (ASQ), an accredited University, or NC DIT.
Thorough knowledge of the tools, methods, practices, materials and equipment used in all assigned product or service industries.
Demonstrated experience to direct and oversee the work in all assigned fields and to instruct and train others in these fields.
Demonstrated experience to develop job cost estimates, price out product lines, control production costs, and direct quality control.
Demonstrated experience to communicate effectively, to supervise and direct subordinates, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration or a related field, or a degree in the related program area from an appropriately accredited institution and a minimum of three years managerial experience; or an equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.
