Bridgetown Veterinary Emergency and Referral (BVER) is a specialty animal hospital located in Portland Oregon. We are looking for kennel assistants to join our hospital. We offer specialty and emergency veterinary services and have veterinarians in Ophthalmology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Emergency/Critical Care and Radiology. • Keeping hospital spaces such as treatment areas, exam rooms and kennels clean and well stocked
• Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
• Ensuring the hospital is always kept tidy and ready for use
• Assisting the Veterinary team with patients as directed
• Comply with all practice policies, quality assurance guidelines, minimum standards of care, and safe handling procedures

Qualifications: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Prior experience with animal handling
• Highly responsible and reliable, with strong attention to detail
• Polite and professional manner
• Proactive and consistent in daily tasks
• Excellent customer service
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Able to stand for long hours at a time and move, carry, and lift up-to 25 lbs.
