Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service and culinary arts, with experience in meal preparation and food handling. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring that every meal meets our standards for taste and presentation.

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items on the grill, ensuring proper cooking techniques and food safety standards are followed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and execute menu items effectively. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station, including proper food handling practices. Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards, focusing on flavor, presentation, and portion control. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to the kitchen manager. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Support team members by helping with other kitchen duties as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, particularly grilling methods. Familiarity with fine dining standards and practices is a plus. Excellent knife skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure. Ability to follow recipes accurately while also being open to creative input for menu planning. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety practices.
