Responsibilities: - Assist laboratory staff in conducting experiments and research projects
- Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for experiments
- Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas
- Collect, record, and analyze experimental data
- Assist in the development of laboratory protocols and procedures
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to achieve research goals Applicant must have: - Six months of work experience with university-level science classes and labs. - Experience creating online content for any purpose. - Ability to provide tutoring and online/distance support during non-business hours - Ability to work with people with low levels of prior learning - Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population, colleagues and external partners. - Willingness to travel to rural communities of Alaska that may lack boarding facilities like hotels and restaurants. - A team player attitude and ability to work in collaboration with IAC faculty and staff.
