Job Summary:
The Soils Research Services (SRS) Lab in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences at Oklahoma State University is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to assist with research on soil nutrient dynamics and plant- mineral interactions. The successful candidate will coordinate experiments to examine the plant and soil-mediated interactions impact on crop response and crop nutrient use efficiency. Additional responsibilities include training of graduate and undergraduate students on lab safety, sample processing and equipment operation and maintenance, assistance with the maintenance of lab instruments, and data management.

Education & Experience
Position Qualifications:
Required: A Bachelors in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or Agricultural Science.
Previous experience working in soil and water analytical lab required.
- Basic wet chemistry skills such as making standards or solutions
- Understanding of quality assurance and quality control procedures
- Previous experience working in a lab environment
- Knowledge of data management and statistical software
- Attention to detail and strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to carry out lab protocols independently
- Familiarity with soil chemical and biological analyses
Preferred: Master\'s in Soil Science, Agronomy, Biogeochemistry, Ecology, or a related field
- Experience in operating and troubleshooting lab instruments
- Experience with LECO, Lachat, TOC, GC, and ICP
- Knowledge of wet soil chemistry and plant mineral analysis
