Assists in the pre-analytical phase of select testing. Upholds laboratory compliance and accreditation through adherence to established departmental policies and procedures, safety standards, and infection control standards. Mentors and trains students and employees. Performs other duties as assigned.The Associate Laboratory Assistant is responsible for completing and maintaining competency in specimen processing and packing, phlebotomy, and client services. Assists in the pre-analytical phase of select testing. Upholds laboratory compliance and accreditation through adherence to established departmental policies and procedures, safety standards, and infection control standards. Performs other duties as assigned.Laboratory Assistant:Required Qualifications:

• Completion of a formal Phlebotomy Training program
• Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification upon hire
• Two (2) years of previous phlebotomy experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASCP Certified Phlebotomist upon hire
