Under supervision receives and processes patients\xe2\x80\x99 specimens (blood, urine, spinal and other fluids) for laboratory testing. Serves as the front line representative of the laboratory
Communicates effectively with members of patient care team and other hospital staff
Develops effective working relationships with customers, co-workers, and physicians
Assumes primary responsibility for the quality assurance of every specimen received and handled in the laboratory.
Receives and processes specimens sent to the laboratory and maintains appropriate records and documentation
Thoroughly investigates and resolves discrepancies.
Performs and documents routine equipment maintenance as necessary
Complies with LifeBridge patient safety mission, policies and procedures
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Knowledge: Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma: GED equivalent or High School certificate
1 -3 years of previous relevant experience required
