Our client, a leader in the food and agriculture industry, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the R&D Department supporting the molecular biology and fermentations teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Laboratory TechnicianLocation: Plymouth, MNPay Range: $ 20-25/hr (W2 Contract)What\'s the Job?

• Conduct day-to-day tasks supporting molecular biology and fermentations R&D teams.
• Prepare media and plates, restock lab supplies, and clean and sterilize glassware.
• Collect and autoclave waste, maintaining the lab support areas.
• Perform standard upkeep and cleaning protocols on scientific equipment.
• Participate in rotational weekend work, typically collecting samples for other scientists.

What\'s Needed?

• Some lab experience and a good understanding of sterile techniques and biosafety behaviors.
• Good basic math skills and the ability to operate day-to-day under minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures for media and plate preparation.
• Experience with cleaning and sterilization processes in a lab environment.
• Willingness to work some weekends as needed.
