is looking for a motivated Crew Leader with strong attention to detail to lead a crew of 2-3 people in the layout, execution, and completion of landscape projects on both residential and commercial properties.
Position Overview
The Landscape/Hardscape Installation Crew Leader is responsible for all aspects of running a clean and efficient job site, including tasks such as; communicating with the production manager, designer, customer and crew; making tool and material checklists; completing daily work tickets and the end-of-job paperwork; training crew members; and maintaining assigned truck, tools, and equipment.
This is a year-round, full-time position. During the Winter, the primary job functions will change to support business needs to include snow removal and equipment maintenance.

Day-to-Day Stuff:
Lead a crew of 1- 3 workers
Adhere consistently to established quality and safety standards
Demonstrate competency in operating landscape-construction equipment
Meet deadlines and expectations expressed by Production Manager
Communicate effectively with manager and crew members
Perform light maintenance on equipment in the field, as needed
Understand and meet project specific production budgets and deadlines
Perform physical tasks removing snow and ice including pushing, shoveling, moving and cleaning snow and ice from sidewalks, driveways and parking lots.
Spreading salt and ice-melting solutions and solids.
Other assigned duties during Winter months will consist of preparation for upcoming projects, organizing inventory, and shop work

What you need to succeed:
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and the ability to be added onto company's insurance policy.
CDL Class "A" License preferred but must possess the ability to acquire additional driver's license endorsements, as needed
Minimum of 3 years of landscape construction experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate mastery of landscape skills gained through prior training
Experience with retaining walls, patios, edging, planting and grading
Experience using basic hand tools such as tape measure, level, hammer, chisel, etc.
Experience using a concrete/cut-off saw and transit laser
Skid loader/excavator equipment experience
Ability to read plans and perform in-field layout and measurements
Knowledge of proper tool and equipment maintenance
Problem solving skills
Complete daily work orders according to instructions, accurately log work completed and return completed work order, following established process
Accurately record hours worked on a daily basis, as expected per project
Must be able to work in a safety aware environment
Ability to lift wall block repeatedly
Ability to work in all types of weather conditions
Ability to work alternate hours and travel to multiple work sites, as needed
Must be available for extended hours during snow events; mandatory overtime
