About the Role:

The Laundry Attendant plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within the hospitality environment. This position ensures that all laundry items are processed efficiently and meet the high standards expected by guests and staff alike. The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for operating washing and drying machines, sorting and folding laundry, and ensuring that all items are returned to their designated areas in a timely manner. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and sanitation protocols are essential to prevent any contamination and to uphold the establishment's reputation. Ultimately, the Laundry Attendant contributes significantly to the overall guest experience by ensuring that clean and fresh linens are always available. This position will also do Breakfast after night audit starts and setups. Keeping Breakfast stocked between 7am-9am and cleaning up the breakfast area and kitchen area. Keeping up with Breakfast stock and alerting the GM on items that are getting low before we run out.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred. Cooking and Food prep.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment and chemicals. Basic knowledge of fabric care and stain removal techniques. Cooking with an electric skillet, oven and microwave.

Responsibilities:

Operate washing machines and dryers according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines. Sort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and uniforms as per the established procedures. Inspect laundry for stains or damages and take appropriate action to address any issues. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Record and report any maintenance needs or supply shortages to the supervisor. Cooking and Cleaning in the breakfast area. Talking with guest to catch any issues they may have so we can address in a timely manor.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include attention to detail, which is essential for identifying stains and ensuring that all items are cleaned to the highest standard. Time management skills are also crucial, as the Laundry Attendant must efficiently process large volumes of laundry while meeting deadlines. Physical stamina is necessary, as the role involves lifting and moving heavy loads of laundry throughout the shift. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of fabric care, enhance the quality of service provided, allowing the attendant to handle various materials appropriately. Additionally, effective communication skills are beneficial for collaborating with team members and reporting any issues to supervisors.
