Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lawn Care Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the beauty and health of our clients' landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and possess a variety of skills related to lawn care, landscape maintenance, and groundskeeping. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This position from time to time will require additional work outside of this job description.

Responsibilities

Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding. Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as trimming trees and shrubs. Operate power tools and equipment safely and effectively. Assist in irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of lawns and gardens. Build and maintain landscape features such as flower beds, pathways, and decorative elements. Maintain cleanliness of job sites by removing debris and ensuring equipment is stored properly. Communicate with clients regarding their lawn care needs and provide recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications

2 years experience in lawn care or landscape maintenance is required. Knowledge of groundskeeping practices including tree trimming, irrigation, and other landscaping skills Proficiency in using power tools and landscaping equipment safely. Strong physical stamina to perform outdoor tasks in various weather conditions. Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.
Longo's is hiring for a seasonal as needed/on call individual to fill the following position with the potential of being hired on part time/full time.

lawn care maintenance technician starting at $16.50 up to $20 per hour.

TWO YEARS MINIMUM EXPERIENCE with references performing the following job duties:

-lawn care maintenance to include mowing, edging, blowing, trimming and seasonal lawn care applications.

-residential/commercial irrigation systems install and repair

-climbing palms and trimming/skinning

-tree trimming/removal

-operate truck and up to 24ft enclosed trailer

-artificial turf install and paver install

-familiar with working with heavy equipment such as skid steer, boom lift, trencher, dump truck etc.

This is an outdoor position which means you will be working outside 100% of the time, in the extreme heat, cold, rain or shine. Candidate must be able to work in extreme heat for long periods at a time.

The following candidate MUST poses the following:

-Punctual (shows up to appointed place of duty on time)
-18+ years or older
-Must have a valid driver's license
-Must ave reliable transportation to work
-Pass a background check
-Must have Good driving record (will need to provide proof prior to employment)
-Great customer service skills
-Work in a team environment
-Work by themselves
-Be able to carry and climb a ladder
-Be comfortable working on 2 story roofs
-Be comfortable walking on shingle and tile roofs
-Carry 40lbs on a regular basis
-Team lift 40lbs+ on occasion
-Open to constructive criticism
-Be comfortable working with lawn equipment, solar cleaning equipment, window cleaning equipment.

Job duties include:
Lawn maintenance- cutting grass, weed whacking, grass spreading, tree trimming, pulling weeds etc., solar panel cleaning- climbing a ladder to a 1 story or 2 story roof and cleaning solar panels, window cleaning-detail orientated cleaning windows and screens with specialized techniques and equipment and making screens from scratch, moving homes, dryer vent cleaning, Chimney sweeping, janitorial-cleaning facilities based on checklist, Administrative/clerk type work and Landscape - irrigation, turf, pavers, gravel spreading and much more. A typical work day in the summer is Show up at 4am, get the supplies/materials you need for the day and head out to the job site in a company truck.
