Responsibilities

Responsible for cleaning, processing and correct assembly and storage of surgical instruments, sets, and equipment for surgical services and outside departments. Responsible for assisting the Surgical Services Director in the operations of the sterile processing department. Acts as a resource for staff and assists with annual departmental competencies for surgical service staff. Maintains documentation demonstrating compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements and identifies trends and quality improvement opportunities. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Graduate

Certification required

Prior sterile processing experience, 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience required

Current BLS certification
