Position Summary:

Responsible for all systems and activities involved in the operations/production of products

located in Sandston VA. Position is responsible for the safe and efficient operations

including day to day leadership of the packaging operations department.

Core Functions:

\xc2\xb7 Promote safety by driving a zero-incident culture ensuring the safety of employees,

contractors, and visitors.

\xc2\xb7 Ensue Plant is compliant with all corporate policies and procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Be an effective safety leader engaging in Bunge Safety discussions and initiatives.

\xc2\xb7 Executes good manufacturing practices while promoting a safe working environment

and maintaining sanitation standards (GMP and HAACP) through the supervision of all phases of the process.

\xc2\xb7 Practices basic principles of good people management to include but not limited to hiring and training

of new employees and development of subordinates

\xc2\xb7 Continually identifies and implements short and long term cost savings opportunities,

that do not compromise quality

\xc2\xb7 Facilitates good communication by regularly informing management of significant operational

issues, changes, and recommendations

\xc2\xb7 Participates in food safety inspections including interacting with plant QA, regulatory

agencies, and external auditors

\xc2\xb7 Participate and sustain productivity activities.

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate the development of written Standard Operating Procedures and ensure

the proper training and adherence to such procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate weekly dashboard metrics.

\xc2\xb7 Administer or coordinate discipline to affected employees.

\xc2\xb7 Work with Packaging Manager, Project Engineers, and Maintenance Department

on developing and implementing a Capital Plan.

\xc2\xb7 Assist QA and Packaging Management to respond and take corrective action related to

customer complaints

\xc2\xb7 Maintain understanding of capacities, monitor daily levels and plan future moves

\xc2\xb7 Operate department using objectives and goals reviewed daily, weekly and monthly.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure integrity of all SAP transactions: PGI, returns and inventory accuracy.

\xc2\xb7 Has the responsibility to report all food safety and quality issues to persons having authority

to get issues resolved.

\xc2\xb7 Any other duties as assigned.

Skill/Experience Requirements:

\xc2\xb7 Minimum 5 years direct management experience in packaging production or related experience

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience in the field of work.

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate ability to work safely and to promote safe work practices in others.

\xc2\xb7 Strong leadership skills with proven track record of developing high performance teams.

Work with self-directed teams a plus.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work collaboratively on teams with other managers both internal and external to the facility.

\xc2\xb7 Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PP) SAP, and

other technical software applications.

\xc2\xb7 Candidate must be friendly, collaborative, intelligent and hard working.
