Legal AssistantFull-time position in Racine, WICompensation: $18 to $23 per hour DOEJob Summary: At the up-and-coming law firm Tabak Law, LLC, we are seeking proactive individuals to join our team as a Legal Assistant! In this position, you will support an attorney in completing administrative tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Youxe2x80x99ll play a key role in assisting individual Veterans who have applied for disability benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs and are seeking our help in obtaining approval.Whatxe2x80x99s in it for you:

What Youxe2x80x99ll Do:

• Manage a client caseload under the direct supervision of an attorney.
• Prepare correspondence with clients, government, and administrative agencies.
• Prepare and review appeals and evidentiary documents for submission to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Accurately maintain and manage documentation in the firmxe2x80x99s case management software.
• Process daily mail and conduct frequent telephone communication with clients.
• Conduct legal, medical, government, and administrative research.
• Perform other duties and administrative tasks as requested/assigned by attorneys and partners.

What Youxe2x80x99ll Need:

• Associate or bachelorxe2x80x99s degree strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in an office setting and ability to thrive within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Computer and Microsoft 365 proficiency
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Exceptional spelling, grammatical, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, client confidentiality, and a positive attitude.
• Strong ability to adapt to new environments, multitask, and efficiently manage time.
