Position Summary

Exercise independent discretion and judgement in claim\'s handling involving more complex liability issues, to include coverage issues and minor injury claims.

• There are 2 positions available.
• The successful candidate will work from home within the Columbus territory.

Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct investigations, evaluate and make recommendations regarding coverage and liability.

Set and maintain reserves. Obtain documents to establish the value of claims and negotiate settlement or declines claim.

Document files and submit final report.

Identify subrogation opportunities and initiates appropriate action.

Negotiate with all parties, or their representatives, within designated authority.

Complete required training.

Train and mentor.

Travel for training may be required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required;

Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s degree preferred.

One year claims\' handling experience, preferably with casualty claims, or equivalent educational experience, preferred.

Position requires incumbents to provide support for property claims during periods of heavy volume.

Appropriate license as required by state.
