Job AnnouncementThe City of Chandler Library Division is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Librarian. This is a regular, full-time, exempt position with benefits. The location will be at the Sunset Library Branch. The Sunset Library is open seven (7) days and three (3) evenings per week. This a 40-hour position with a schedule that includes nights and weekends.Work Schedule:

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Library Science or related field; and
  • 3 years of paraprofessional library experience including one (1) year of previous supervisory experience; and
  • Arizona State Teaching Certification and Arizona State School Library Endorsement required depending on assignment (Not required for this location); and
  • A valid Driver\'s License with acceptable driving record; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

  • Master\'s Degree in Library Science
This is a regular full-time position, subject to a six (6) month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for four (4) months should another position become available.The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results.
