Job Summary:
Manages the library and assists students and staff in the effective use of library resources, ensuring that the library program meets the mission, goals and objectives of the District.
Hourly rate: Grade 8, Step 1: $22.74
Work hours: 7.5 hours per day
Work year: 10 months
Bargaining Unit: Education Support Staff Association (ESSA)
Job Qualifications/Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position):
- A minimum of 48 hours of college credits
- Three (3) semester credits, or have the ability to obtain the three (3) semester credits in children\'s literature, which explores a variety of literature, with an emphasis on selecting, interpreting, and using quality literature with children from preschool to grade 8.
- A minimum of one (1) year of library work experience, to include working with online library catalogs and classification systems.
- Demonstrate general clerical skills, including typing speed of 35 wpm minimum, knowledge of computer operations, and Google Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to teach elementary age-appropriate library research skills and to help students select books of interest to promote reading.
