NiteLines USA is currently looking for LPN\'s to join the team! The prospective contractor will provide services Licensed Practical Nurse as delineated below for the inmate population at the Federal Prison Camp, Alderson, West Virginia.

SCHEDULE OF PERFORMANCE:
The Contractors will normally work, Friday through Monday (except Federal holidays), normally between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, with a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period, (if applicable). A flexible work schedule is an option to be exercised if LPN\'s are needed for weekend coverage not to exceed 40 sessions per week. A session will equal one (1) hour.
SUPPLIES/EQUIPMENT:
Due to security reasons all supplies and equipment that the Contractor may need while at the institution will be furnished by the Federal Prison Camp, Alderson, WV. These supplies normally will include any materials needed to perform the services covered under this BPA. All records maintained by the Contractor under this BPA will remain the property of the institution. The provider shall supply their own medical smocks.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
All duties shall be performed in accordance with standards and methods generally accepted within the field of services, and compliance with all Federal and State policy and regulations. The contractor(s) shall adhere to all standards and regulations associated with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and American Correctional Association Foundation/Core Standards for Adult Correctional Institutions, Center for Disease Control, and Bureau of Prisons Policy and Procedures. The contractor\xe2\x80\x99s performance shall be monitored by the HAS and/or CM. The contractor must have the ability to work with an inmate population from a variety of cultural, regional, racial and ethnic backgrounds.
METHOD OF PERFORMANCE:
The services provided, being professional in nature, will be provided in the method as considered normal by community standards. These services, although not directly supervised, will be reviewed in accordance to Bureau of Prisons Policy Guidelines, Health Services Manual, PS 6010.02 and 6031.01. The performance of these services will also be verified by the delegated COR (Contracting Officer\'s Representative). The Government may evaluate the quality of the professional and administrative services provided, but retains no control over the medical, professional aspects of services rendered (e.g., professional judgements, diagnosis for specific medical treatment). The contractor is expected to wear professional clothing which shall be covered by a lab coat or smock.
RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Incumbent provides a range of standard patient care, setting priorities and deadlines for patient care as necessary prior to
notifying the supervisor via established protocols and standing orders for handling inmate complaints during sick call under the
guidance of a Supervisory Clinical Nurse, MLP, and Physicians. Provides nursing care appropriate to the level of education and
training for acutely or chronically ill patients.
2. Duties include managing patient flow and triage, responding to institution emergencies with Registered Nurse, Mid-level
practitioner or Physician back up, screening new arrivals, assessing inmates returning from consultant visits or hospitalizations
under the guidance of a Supervisory Clinical Nurse, MLP, and Physicians.
3. Providing patient education.
4. The incumbent provides first aid and assists with providing emergency medical care to inmates injured in fights and/or
accidents. The incumbent will assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
5. Administers and documents medications accurately according to policy/procedure and physician orders.
6. Recognizes and reports adverse drug reactions and side effects.
7. Provides documentation in the medical record which is descriptive of patients\xe2\x80\x99 conditions and relates to the current treatment
plan.
8. Responds and intervenes appropriately to emergencies and submits written documentation.
9. Will collect patient information including vital signs and blood pressure checks, as well as providing dressing changes,
administering treatments and/or medications, EKG\xe2\x80\x99s, and or other assignment as needed. etc. These assignments require
LPNs to immediately recognize and respond to serious situations, sometimes before notifying an RN. Reports significant
abnormalities to the Registered Nurse, MLP, and or the physicians.
10.Utilizes resources appropriately. Collaborates with and informs a Registered Nurse, MLP, Physicians of any changes in
patient\xe2\x80\x99s behavior, health status or any other patient care concerns or significant changes.
11.Communicates effectively with patients and health care team members.
12.Performs patient care, treatments and procedures being about to immediately recognize and respond to serious situations,
sometimes before notifying an RN of significant abnormalities.
13.Performs waives testing.
14.Accurately uses Glucometer 3 to check patient\xe2\x80\x99s glucose level. Checks control.
15.Accurately performs hemoccult testing and control measures.
16.Performs 12 lead EKG.
17.Measures and records body temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure to the medical record.
18.Reports significant abnormalities to the Registered Nurse, MLP and or the Physician.
19.Applies the principles of asepsis and infection control.
20.Maintain daily sick call list/call out.
21.Possess a current and valid license/certificate from a United States jurisdiction.
22.The contractor will sign the Institution Contractors Log located at the front entrance of the Institution; indicating the date of visit
to the Institution, the time of arrival and departure and signature of time in and time out for any lunch breaks. This must be done for each visit.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The Contractor\xe2\x80\x99s employee providing services will need to maintain certification and/or licensure under this BPA award and must have graduated from an accredited school; be certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) and Automatic External Defibrillator (AED); and have one or more current years of experience in their discipline. Correctional experience is desirable, but not required.
COMPENSATION: $24.43 includes health benefits
