Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse

SITE OF SERVICE:

• Naval Hospital Pensacola, FL

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree: Certificate.
• Education: Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Experience: One (1) year of clinical work experience as a full-time LPN/LVN within the preceding three (3) years.
• Licensure: Possess and maintain a current unrestricted license to practice as an LPN/LVN in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
• Other Certifications:

• BLS through American Heart Association. Must be hands on course
• Possess and maintain a current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

• U.S. Citizenship: HCWs performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.
• Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
• Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required.

HOURS:

• HCW shall provide services Monday through Friday, excluding the day of observance of federal holidays, for a nine hour shift between the hours of 0730 to 1730.
• The HCW\xe2\x80\x99s shift shall include an uncompensated one hour meal break.
• The HCW shall not exceed 80 hours of service in a two-week pay period. The government will prepare schedules four to eight weeks in advance.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team-work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
