Job Summary and Qualifications

As a member of the Lift Team EMT at our facility you will be joining a hard-working, compassionate team of caregivers. We value every member of our team and consider ourselves a family. We are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

\xc2\xb7 You will provide lift services in direct support of the quality care experience for our patients.

\xc2\xb7 You may be asked to assist in maintenance of a safe, clean, and age appropriate environment under the direction and supervision of the nurse.

\xc2\xb7 You will assist in making sure that patient\xe2\x80\x99s rooms are ready for new admits.

\xc2\xb7 You will follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.

\xc2\xb7 You will handle various medical equipment including: oxygen tanks, IV Poles, Catheter Bags, etc.

\xc2\xb7 You will observe and report unsafe conditions, hazards, and security violations when found, including blocked ingress and egress and unauthorized persons.

Qualifications:

\xc2\xb7 EMT II license in the State of Alaska

\xc2\xb7 One-year experience working in a hospital or clinical setting preferred

\xc2\xb7 American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
