Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling services to individuals facing various challenges, including chronic pain, behavioral issues, and disabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. The LMHC will utilize evidence-based practices to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals while fostering a supportive and healing environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans. Provide direct mental health counseling and therapy to clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Implement behavior management strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and research data collection as required. Offer Christian counseling as needed, integrating faith-based principles into therapeutic practices. Support clients with disabilities by providing direct support and advocacy in their treatment journey. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.

Requirements

Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. Valid LMHC licensure in the state of practice. Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health care. Experience working with individuals with chronic pain and disabilities is preferred. Proficiency in behavior management techniques and mental health counseling methodologies. Ability to conduct research data collection effectively for program evaluation purposes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
