Job Summary:

Ensure accurate, safe and efficient loading of product onto trailers and provide support for warehouse functions

Job Responsibilities:

\xe2\x97\x8f Regular and consistent attendance \xe2\x97\x8f Train and mentor other team members \xe2\x97\x8f Accurately select appropriate pallets and/or cross-dock product and verify against pick tickets (paperwork). \xe2\x97\x8f Verify all load sheets and turn in complete, legible, accurate paperwork (such as load diagrams and pick tickets) \xe2\x97\x8f Handle and load product onto the trailer to minimize damage \xe2\x97\x8f Ensure pallets are wrapped to ensure stability and stacked safely for transport \xe2\x97\x8f Ensure each trailer is swept before use. \xe2\x97\x8f Check condition of pallets and exchange where necessary \xe2\x97\x8f Promptly report damage and all inventory discrepancies to supervisor \xe2\x97\x8f Maintain cleanliness and repair of dock, and facility areas \xe2\x97\x8f Maintain all food safety, housekeeping and other applicable standards \xe2\x97\x8f Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

\xe2\x97\x8f High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience preferred \xe2\x97\x8f Warehouse experience preferred \xe2\x97\x8f Experience operating Material Handling Equipment preferred

\xe2\x97\x8f Ability to remain calm and focused while prioritizing requests from multiple sources \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to do basic math to ensure proper height and counts per pallet and identify or verify pallet ID numbers \xe2\x97\x8f Accuracy and attention to detail \xe2\x97\x8f Able to read, write, speak and understand English \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to read and understand label data \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to read small print on packaging and paperwork, with or without corrective lenses \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to take directions using the headset selection system (such as VoCollect) \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer to include nights, weekends and holidays

Environmental Job Conditions:

\xe2\x97\x8f Independently lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally \xe2\x97\x8f Able to sit, stand, walk bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment \xe2\x97\x8f Able to grasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basis \xe2\x97\x8f Able to step up onto and down from equipment as required by task (such as forklift, reach truck, etc.) \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to reach above shoulder level frequently \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to build pallets up to 6 feet tall with case weights up to 60 pounds \xe2\x97\x8f Endurance for continuous, fast paced work \xe2\x97\x8f Able to adjust to fluctuating temperatures and withstand freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to work in a noisy warehouse environment \xe2\x97\x8f Able to wear and communicate through headsets for long periods of time as required by location \xe2\x97\x8f Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, harness, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc) \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to handle and physically be near products which may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.) \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to utilize good hand-eye coordination and depth perception to operate forklift, reach truck, and HiLo safely and accurately \xe2\x97\x8f Ability to utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, forklift, reach truck, etc.)
