Job Description
Job Summary
As a Loan Officer, you will be responsible for evaluating, authorizing, or recommending approval of commercial, real estate, or credit loans. You will also be tasked with advising borrowers on financial status and payment methods.
Duties
Review loan applications to ensure completeness Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans Approve loans within specified limits and refer loan applications outside those limits to management for approval Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and answer questions about the process Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and legislation
Qualifications
Proficiency in financial software and accounting software Strong sales and negotiation skills Knowledge of loan processing, underwriting, and loan origination Familiarity with TILA regulations Experience in the financial services industry Ability to use 10 key typing for data entry purposes
