Lifetime Products is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious CDL Driver to join our team of professional drivers. As a local CDL driver for Lifetime Products, you will be responsible for making deliveries to our various retail store locations, and to our steel customers along the Wasatch Front and into Idaho. This is a local driver position that will allow you to be home every night, but the hours fluctuate due to the demand for loads at our various locations and can vary. The ideal candidate for this position must be flexible with scheduling.Lifetime Drivers adhere to DOT HOS regulations, however the day to day schedule can vary significantly. Our driving team will get at least 40 hours per week, often more. Safety must be the number one priority for this position. Checking the load securement and following all safety procedures during drop and hooks as well as while on the road is a must. No delivery is more important than operating safely.During our store deliveries, drivers get to see our product first-hand as you help off load items at each of our stores. The store teams are very friendly and professional and you will build a rapport with them as you work together to get our items to the customers. There is a weekly schedule for deliveries, but that schedule does fluctuate seasonally and is effected by holiday weekends and item sales. You will also pick up product from a few local vendors we use and be responsible for miscellaneous events such as the annual home show deliveries. These store deliveries are all made in 48\' dry van trailers and most locations require the use of a pallet jack to offload the product.When delivering our steel product you are the representative for Lifetime Products and must conduct yourself in a professional and respectful manner on delivery. Although most deliveries are pre-loaded there are times you may be involved in properly loading and securing our steel products. Our steel deliveries include sheet, tubing, coils and bins of small parts. We use straps or chains and binders to secure these loads. The metal deliveries use flatbed trailers either 48\' or 53\' long, most of them have a curtain. We do haul heavy when it is needed. This portion of the job is driven by our production schedule and customer demand. The load volume can fluctuate day to day as well as seasonally.Daily responsibilities include:-Keep accurate track of HOS log-Perform pre- and post- trip inspections and report any findings properly-Maintain clean MVR and obey all DOT regulations and rules of the road-Check load securement for every load and ensure load is safe before leaving site-Load and unload freight as needed (not on a lift - with a pallet jack or helping with dunnage)-Provide excellent customer service while on delivery-Communicate clearly with team membersQualification:-Valid class A CDL (cannot have manual restriction)-Clean Clearinghouse record, clean PSP safety record, and clean MVR-Pass an onsite physical abilities test-Pass DOT Drug & Alcohol ScreeningBenefits:-Competitive pay-Health, dental, and vision insurance-Paid vacation and holidays-401(k)
