Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female Behavioral Respite Provider to support 13 year old child with Autism, ADHD and mood disorder in West San Jose. This role is essential in providing care and assistance to enhance the quality of life for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities and possess a strong commitment to fostering a supportive and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Assist with the implementation of care plans tailored to individual needs. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and personal development. Monitor patient behavior and report any significant changes or concerns to appropriate personnel. Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules. Perform patient observation, providing companionship and emotional support. Assist clients with daily living activities, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any incidents that occur during shifts. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

Experience in providing care for special needs children with behavioral issues is required Knowledge of first aid procedures and patient monitoring techniques is essential. Familiarity with developing and following care plans is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of the clients. A background in social work or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
