Location: 900 Pennsylvania Ave. Charleston, WV 25302
Under general supervision of the Games Accounting Manager, this position is responsible for performing all accounting related work for any combination of lottery games; traditional lottery, racetrack video lottery, table games, historic resort, sports wagering, iGaming, iLottery and any future lottery games.
This position will serve as back-up for other lottery accounting specialists. Duties include but are not limited to: Review an account for all gaming revenues, perform analysis of revenue trends and daily sales data. Prepare multiple complex allocations of gaming revenues to comply with statutory requirements. Prepare daily allocations of revenues in compliance with legislation and agency policies. Prepare requests for electronic funds transfer from and to retailers, operators, racetracks, and the historic resort. Collection of state share of revenues. Prepare complex accounting schedules to support transfer activity and accountability of legislative appropriation. Prepare reports on revenue distributions. Prepare general ledger journal entries daily, weekly, and monthly. Record all sales activities. Prepare month end accrual of sales for posting to the general ledger. Reconcile cash accounts to internal systems and summary schedules. Perform analysis of flow of funds. Development of revenue reports for the lottery director and commission members. Answer questions from retailers, the racetracks, and the public.
Work will be done using Great Plains Dynamics and/or Microsoft Business Central, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Related work will be done as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in accounting, business administration, finance, economics or closely related field with at least 18 semester hours in accounting.
Experience: Four years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid professional accounting or auditing work.
Substitution: (1) Certification or registration as a public accountant in West Virginia may substitute for the required training and two years of the required experience. (2) Graduate study from an accredited four-year college or university in accounting, business administration, finance, economics or closely related field may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
