Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems including security systems, fire alarms, and cabling. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and experience with remote access software. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

Install and configure low voltage systems including security systems, fire alarms, and alarm systems. Conduct regular maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to low voltage equipment and cabling. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment for installation and repair tasks. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Assist in alarm system sales by providing technical expertise during consultations. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role. Strong knowledge of security systems, fire alarms, cabling, and electrical principles. Familiarity with remote access software and computer networking concepts. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Certification in low voltage installation or related fields is preferred. Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment related to low voltage systems. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour

10 hour shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Overtime
