• Pay Range: LPN's pay ranges from $35-$37 an hour, RN's pay ranges from $41-$43 an hour.

As a nurse, herexe2x80x99s a big-picture view of what youxe2x80x99ll do:

• Care for patients with a variety of illnesses, injuries and diseases in facilities such as medical offices, assisted living facilities, hospitals and schools
• Work with a team of physicians, Nurses, CNAs and aides to deliver excellent patient care
• Take patient vitals, do assessments, document progress and report changes to RN supervisor
• Assist in carrying out physicianxe2x80x99s orders, patient care and prescribed treatments
• Administer medication, operate medical equipment and maintain a safe environment

A few must-haves for LPNs and RNs:

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Registered Nurse (RN) with active, unrestricted license in the State of Michigan xe2x80x93 BSN not required
• CPR certification
• Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
• Demonstrated clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good communicator and compassionate
