Shifts Available:

FT Shifts Available - 8 hr shifts - days or evenings (7:30am-3:30pm OR 3:00pm to 11:30pm)

• We provide comprehensive medical, behavioral and educational services to your people, ages 2 to 22.
• We have med-surge hospital licensure plus residential medical campus to serve our unique patients\xe2\x80\x99 needs and requirements.
• Our Medical Team is NOT contracted, but are staff members. We have a triple boarded Medical Director in pediatrics, psychiatry and child psychiatry), a Pediatric Doctor, and 2 Nurse Practitioners.
• Our cohesive multidisciplinary teams, including medical staff, nurses, dietitians, case managers, therapists, and behavioral health counselors, that use creative treatment approaches to guide our patients to live a more independently and productively. We even have a year round accredited school system for our patients!

Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents is a unique acute care, inpatient specialty hospital with 110 licensed beds, including Med Surg. and Residential Treatment Center; staffed by the finest physicians and treatment teams. We treat patients, ages 2-22 who have chronic illnesses, brain injuries and neurobehavioral disorders with co-behavioral issues.

Qualifications

Essential Job Duties:

• Implements the nursing care plan and treatment objectives in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care, patient\xe2\x80\x99s needs and level of growth and development.
• Works under the supervision of an RN
• Works cooperatively as a member of the multi-disciplinary.

Job Requirements:

• Hold an active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License in the state of VA
• Prefer one year of inpatient medical surgery, rehab or psychiatric experience
• Must be able to sustain physical activity throughout the scheduled shift
• Able to remain on feet throughout the scheduled shift
