Job Summary
The Yard Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the yard, ensuring efficient management of materials and equipment. This role involves supervising yard, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in carpentry.
Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily yard operations, including the movement of materials and equipment. Manage shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage order picking activities. Operate forklifts and delivery trucks Conduct regular inspections of the yard to ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes. Work with supplies with product and pricing updates Communicate with contractors and customers
Requirements
Willingness to learn Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and Square Retail Software Proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
