Living by these virtues, we pride ourselves on exceptional service and the highest quality of care.The Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic is now hiring for a team-oriented and adaptable Medical Assistant for our clinic located on the Boise Regional Medical Center campus!Position Summary & Highlights:As an MA at the Outpatient Behavioral Health clinic, you will work with closely with a cohesive team in a fast-paced and enjoyable environment.Saint Alphonsus Behavioral Health Center offer a full range of behavioral health services for patients of all ages, from stress management to therapy to intensive inpatient treatment.Through programs that treat patients with dignity and compassion, our patients learn to cope with life\'s challenges, return joy and serenity to their lives and learn to live again.Outpatient behavioral health services specialize in a comprehensive evaluation and treatment for most emotional and interpersonal problems for adults, adolescents and children, and includes: Individual and group therapy, Professional care from an integrated treatment team including psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic interventions, psychiatry, clinical social work and nursing, and Pharmacological medication management.Conditions treated include mood and anxiety disorders, trauma and abuse, behavioral disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and developmental disorders (Autism, Speech disorders)What You Will Do:You will work with a team of psychiatrists, psychologist, and other clinical support staff.In addition to rooming, taking vital signs, and patient intakes, you will prepare and administer occasional injections, review medication histories, and coordinate the patient flow between providers.You will also complete in-basket tasks, process orders, complete prior authorizations, patient phone calls, and referrals.An ideal candidate will be confident, able to work independently and in a team environment and can be assertive when needed and have strong knowledge of boundaries.You will also be open-minded, compassionate, and non-judgmental.Work Schedule:24 hours per week, Mondays \xe2\x80\x93 Fridays, around the hours of 7:30am \xe2\x80\x93 5:30pmThe clinic closes at 3:00pm on Fridays.Hours are subject to change based on provider schedules and clinic needs.Location:6348 W. Emerald St., Boise, Idaho 83704 (Near the Boise Regional Medical Center campus)Learn more about Outpatient Behavioral Health Services:Meet the Providers:Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent required.*MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)American Medical Technologists (RMA)National Healthcare Association (CCMA)National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)Completion of either 6 months MA experience or completion of 100-hour MA externship is required even with MA certification.Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire.*Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year.
