Schattdecor Inc. is the global market leader in the printed decorative paper industry. The paper is used as the decorative layer in the laminate surface of residential and commercial products. It is used in kitchen countertops, cabinets, closet systems and laminate flooring. Commercially it can be found on store fixtures and furniture used in the office, healthcare, hospitality and institutional markets. We are hiring for a Quality Control Lab Technician at our Lexington, South Carolina facility.

The Machine Operators are responsible for providing support to the operator with the task of keeping the printing press running in an orderly fashion. This involves multiple tasks around the press to keep things organized and prepared. This is a 3rd shift operator position with a starting salary of $20/per hour.

Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Package printed product at rewinder station;

\xc2\xb7 Splice new base paper rolls at unwinder station;

\xc2\xb7 Remove roll headers and unwrap base paper rolls;

\xc2\xb7 Clean equipment with high power washer;

\xc2\xb7 Swap pans/splash guards/doctor blades in and out of the printing press;

\xc2\xb7 Swap cylinders and impression rollers in and out of the printing press;

\xc2\xb7 Enter finished product into BDE/SAP software system;

\xc2\xb7 Measure length and width of the product with a measuring tape;

\xc2\xb7 Measure ink quantities with ability to note amounts;

\xc2\xb7 Make ink additions;

\xc2\xb7 Drive a forklift to transport roll to and from scale;

\xc2\xb7 Assist team members with printing operations;

\xc2\xb7 Cleaning parts of the printing press and equipment;

\xc2\xb7 Doing laundry for production rags;

\xc2\xb7 Keep areas clean and in good order;

\xc2\xb7 Comply with recycling rules;

\xc2\xb7 Empty paper baler and trim basket when necessary;

\xc2\xb7 Other duties as assigned.

\xc2\xb7 High school diploma or GED equivalent;

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge in printing processes preferred;

\xc2\xb7 Basic math skills including fractions;

\xc2\xb7 Basic computer knowledge; BDE/SAP experience preferred;

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work in a team and independently;
