Immediately seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician & Groundskeeper to join our community. Key Responsibilities

:

As a Maintenance Technician & Groundskeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of our community. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Roof repairs & roof carpentry (previous experience required) Exterior painting Exterior plumbing Minor Electrical repairs Concrete work Pool Cleaning & Maintenance Trim trees and shrubs Weed control (manual & chemical spraying) Clearing debris from the community Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections and repairs performed. Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from residents and management. Identify issues that could need preventative maintenance before they become major issues.

& Qualifications

We are seeking a jack-of-all-trades maintenance technician to join our community

Strong knowledge in minor roofing, carpentry and plumbing is required 2 years community maintenance experience is preferred. Punctuality and reliability is a must. Must have own vehicle truck or van preferred will need to utilize occasionally to pick up supplies. Driver's License and clean driving record required Proficiant skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment and common commercial machinery Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail. Capable of performing sustained manual labor and lifting up to 50lbs and occasionally more Job will require occasional on call availability for emergencies

About New Port Colony

New Port Colony is a privately owned 55+ community. The community consists of 200 privately owned villas, recreation hall, pool and shuffleboard. The community is rebuilding & recovering due to last years hurricanes and we are looking for a committed Maintenance/Groundskeeper to join us.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
