Location: Springdale, UtahPOWDR is an adventure lifestyle company that inspires every human being with cool experiences in awesome places. Within POWDR\xe2\x80\x99s portfolio are seven mountain resorts including Copper Mountain and Eldora Mountain Resort in Colorado; Boreal Mountain Resort and Soda Springs in the Lake Tahoe region of California; Mt. Bachelor in Oregon, Snowbird in Utah and SilverStar Mountain Resort in British Columbia, Canada. Included in the POWDR portfolio, is Stovepipe Wells located in Death Valley National Park, operated under a long-term concessions contract with the National Park Service.Zion Lodge is in National Register of Historic Places designed in 1924 by Gilbert Stanley Underwood in the National Park Service rustic style. The Zion Lodge is a year-round operation with 76 hotels rooms, 6 suites and 40 cabins as well as a restaurant, outside grab and go caf\xc3\xa9, bar, gift shop and auditorium space. In the year 2025 a coffee and wine bar will be opening.Zion Lodge is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Zion National Park. Over the next few years, the resort will undergo upgrades to rejuvenate accommodations and dining for public enjoyment. Renewable energy projects and energy efficiency upgrades will also be completed as well as other Sustainability innovations. POWDR operates Zion Lodge under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.Job Summary:The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the custodial, maintenance and facilities staff of the operations to ensure the sanitation, tidiness, environmental preservation and protection, and upkeep of the facility, infrastructure, paths, F&B, restrooms, hotel, cabins, campsites, RV, stores, offices and all areas located at Zion Lodge. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Preventative Maintenance Program, Capital Projects, Curing Deferred Maintenance, the CMMS Computerized Maintenance Management System, and following all requirements and documentation of the Zion Lodge National Park Contract Maintenance Plan. You will actively cultivate a safe, friendly, and fun work environment where outdoor adventure and environmental stewardship are embraced.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensure Computerized Maintenance Information System is CMIS (i.e., Maintain-X) is kept up to date with accurate information, alerts, assignments and records.Responsible for overseeing the Preventative Maintenance Program, Capital Projects, Curing Deferred Maintenance, and associated documentation of the NPS Maintenance Plan, and annual reporting of the Concessioner Preventative Maintenance and CAPEX Project Reports.Leads company and engages workers to follow the HazCom, HazMat, SPCC and NPS Maintenance plan responsibilities with support from the senior leadership team and General Manager.Leads OSHA worker safety standards, environmental safety, and maintenance department customer service standards and other ESQ standards as well as safety resources for compliance and best management practices.Responsible for the daily, weekly and monthly maintenance reports for routine duties, inspections and necessary action item reporting to the NPS, including detecting and removing hazards, invasive species and protecting and preserving the natural environment.Ensure the impeccable custodial duties are performed for litter pick-up and upkeep of all infrastructure.Ensure teams conduct impeccable cleaning services after a guest checks out and before another guests checks in to the hotel, campsite, and RV.Oversee teams for landscaping repairing/replacing fencing, improving drainages, installing signage in line with the NPS standards, etc.Oversee teams for the repairs for simple plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, signage.Oversees painting and staining railings, picnic tables, and the interior and exterior of buildings.Oversee the recycling and trash management program, accurate tracking and performance.Maintain all equipment for safety and efficacy, conduct lockout tagout, ensure OSHA safety standards, training, development and performance building of the maintenance staff.Participates in management meetings and leads employee trainings, to support ESQ and ESQ standards.Conducts department Job Safety and Hazard Analysis with the team on a recurrent basis, documents it and engages the team in safety talks. Ensures team members participate and complete all required new hire training, recurrent training drills and certifications as per the ESQ Training Requirements Matrix.Communications to facilitate and nurture a healthy, comfortable, clean, and fun experience for employees living onsite with wellness programs that help to support these necessities.Ensures the department conducts Job Safety and Hazard Analysis on a recurrent basis, documents it and engages the team in safety talks. Ensures team members participate and complete all required new hire training, recurrent training, emergency drills and certifications as per the ESQ Training Requirements Matrix.Other Duties as Assigned:This job description is an overview of the scope of responsibilities for this job and is not intended to be an inclusive list of job tasks and expectations. You must be prepared to work a schedule which may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:Able to work and thrive in Zion National Park.Ability to lead maintenance requirements and compliance with our concessions contract.Technical and organizational skills utilizing cloud-based databases, CMIS, records, etc.Establish successful working relationships with co-workers, Park Service and the public.Use good professional judgment, honesty, and integrity in decision making.Interact with the public and stakeholders in a professional manner and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.Communication skills to lead, train, and oversee the functions of maintenance teams.Experience overseeing landscape, infrastructure improvements and renovations.Establish successful working relationships with co-workers, NPS and the public and use good professional judgment, honesty, and integrity in decision making.Working HVAC skills preferredAble to interact with the public and stakeholders in a professional manner and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.Minimum 2 years working in maintenance management position, and hospitality preferred.High school diploma required.ESQ and Play Forever Responsibilities and Requirements:Understand and follow all ESQ procedures that relate to your job duties.Work with a \xe2\x80\x9csafety-first\xe2\x80\x9d attitude.Minimize your impact on the environment when at work and living onsite.Treat our customers, co-workers, leadership teams, all internal guests with respect and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available in the Employee Handbook).Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE.
