SUMMARY:An Industrial Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment in industrial settings such as factories, manufacturing plants, and production facilities. They troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure that all equipment operates efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Experience in the steel manufacturing industry is a plus.ADDITIONAL DUTIES:Additional Duties as assigned by the corporate management teamKEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:Preventive Maintenance xe2x80x93 Perform regular inspections and scheduled maintenance on industrial machinery to prevent breakdowns.Troubleshooting and Repairs xe2x80x93 Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and make necessary repairs.Equipment Installation xe2x80x93 Install, assemble, and test new machines and production equipment.Welding and Fabrication xe2x80x93 Perform basic welding, cutting, and fabrication to repair or modify equipment as needed.Parts Replacement xe2x80x93 Replace defective or worn-out parts such as bearings, belts, motors, and pumps.Reading Blueprints and Schematics xe2x80x93 Interpret technical diagrams and manuals to understand machine components and functions.Lubrication and Calibration xe2x80x93 Apply lubricants and calibrate machinery to ensure smooth operation and accuracy.Electrical Work xe2x80x93 Assist with wiring, motor controls, and troubleshooting electrical issues in coordination with electricians.Record Keeping xe2x80x93 Maintain detailed logs of maintenance work, repairs, and parts used.Safety Compliance xe2x80x93 Follow OSHA and company safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.Collaboration with Teams xe2x80x93 Work with engineers, production staff, and other mechanics to improve machine performance and minimize downtime.Facility Maintenance xe2x80x93 Assist in maintaining facility infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, and lighting systems when necessaryQualifications:xc2xb7High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.xc2xb7Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.xc2xb7Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.xc2xb7Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.xc2xb7Proficiency with hand and power tools.xc2xb7Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.xc2xb7Good communication and teamwork abilities.
