Position Overview: Provide the necessary skills to install and maintain all machines and equipment used in the manufacturing areas in optimal working order. Strong focus on electromechanical and mechanical assembly.

Responsibilities

• Repairs existing machines and supports equipment as needed to keep production running.
• Performs routine maintenance on machines based on TPM practices.
• Orders replacement parts for all machines as needed and ensures level 1 parts are in stock for immediate needs.
• Assists with the creation and maintenance of preventative maintenance program.
• Assists the manufacturing engineers with setting up, modifying and disassembly of production lines.
• Supports all lines as requested by line leaders, supervisors, or managers to keep the lines running at full capability.
• Assist with the design and creation of custom equipment and assembly fixtures.
• Provides support to the facilities manager when requested.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of standard work.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics for trouble shooting equipment.
• Assist in layout, building and maintaining assembly lines and assembly cells.
• Assist in identifying and implementing new equipment.
• Assist in repair on production equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints a plus.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, and power tools
• Electrical/electronic knowledge; hands-on experience on various assembly lines
• Machine shop experience
• MS-Office Experience
• 1 + years\xe2\x80\x99 experience on various assembly lines

Education and Experience:

• Should possess or be working toward one of the following or similar college degree or certificate programs ASEE, ASIE, ASME, or technical certificate.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, stand and walk. The employee will frequently be required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds using proper lifting techniques. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
