Job Description

Description: Maintenance Technician reports to the Shop Lead and is responsible to work collaboratively or independently to execute repairs and preventative maintenance, including grounds care, for all Holden Farms-owned facilities. This includes swine and turkey production facilities.

Hours: Generally Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm; times may vary based on business needs

Weekends: As needed.

Essential Job Functions:

\xc2\xb7 Work collaboratively with HFI Farm Managers, Supervisors, and Coworkers to consistently deliver quality repairs, products, and services

\xc2\xb7 Follow HFI equipment warehousing and inventory control procedures

\xc2\xb7 Apply manure to cropland according to state and federal regulations

\xc2\xb7 Maintain grounds of Holden Farms-owned facilities

\xc2\xb7 Follow open work orders and complete them in a timely manner

\xc2\xb7 Understand and follow Holden Farms Biosecurity Program

Education/Experience:

\xc2\xb7 High School Diploma, or equivalent

\xc2\xb7 Valid Class D Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license

\xc2\xb7 Welding experience (is a plus) (willing to train)

\xc2\xb7 Agriculture building repair & maintenance experience (preferred) (willing to train)

\xc2\xb7 Tractor Driving experience (preferred)

\xc2\xb7 Strong verbal communication skills

\xc2\xb7 Dependable

\xc2\xb7 Ability to lift 75-100 lbs

\xc2\xb7 Ability to stand, walk and be on feet for 8-10+ hours/day
