Job Summary

Avantor is looking for a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician. Working in partnership with under limited supervision, installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment and fixtures. Conducts general maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment. Maintains repair and maintenance records. Troubleshoots problems and escalates the most complex issues.

This role will be a full-time position base out of St. Louis, MO site.
What we\'re looking for

• Education: High school completion or equivalent GED
• Experience: 3 years applicable direct experience in a similar position.

• Preferred Qualification/Certification #1 Technical School preferred.

Who you are:

• Interpersonal and communication skills are important.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems required.
• mathematics, personal computers, and related applications are vital.

How you will thrive and create an impact

• Maintains building electrical system and heating and cooling equipment.
• P erforms maintenance or general carpentry on items such as doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, materials handling equipment, etc.
• Completes required reports when maintenance tasks are concluded.
• Answers security alarm calls as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is exposed to an industrial warehouse environment. The associate works near moving mechanical machinery and noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The job requires working in heights, exposure to changes in temperature, driving equipment, and maybe exposed to dust, fumes, or gases.
