Join us in a friendly, fast-paced work environment at Edith Sanford Breast Center! Our team uses the latest technology to perform contrast-enhanced mammograms and 3D mammograms. We work alongside radiologists in stereotactic biopsies and magnetic seed localizations. Day shifts Monday through Friday with no holidays and no call shifts. Opportunity to cross-train into breast sonography for interested applicants.Job SummaryOperates mammography equipment and performs various mammography-related examinations to produce radiograph images for clinical screening and diagnostic purposes. Ensures accurate body positioning and provides mammograms to women under direct supervision. Implements radiation safety standards and relevant policies into imaging practices. Processes and evaluates the technical quality of images. Delivers care and support services to clients before, during, and after mammogram procedures (e.g. explaining procedures, answering inquires, etc.).Possesses a positive attitude, compassion, and an acceptance of diversity. Maintains records and updates history associated with mammography. Educates women the importance of mammography in preventing breast cancer. Demonstrates knowledge and an understanding of anatomy, pathology, physiology, and medical terminology. Maintains continuing education credits as necessary.Sanford Rural Health Network Facility sites may expand job responsibilities based on the needs of the facility, to include, but not limited to: on-call rotation nights, weekends, and holidays. Perform diagnostic radiology procedures. Perform basic diagnostic radiology tasks and aware of general radiology protocols. May perform mobile imaging, electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures.QualificationsCompletion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or JointReview Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) is required.A thorough understanding of mammography techniques and procedures is preferred.Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. Certified or obtain ARRT certificationin Mammography within one year of hire.When applicable, maintenance of a valid driver\'s license and good driving record is required. Employees are held to the Sanford category driver\'s license policy and medical guidelines when applicable for job duties.If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board is required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.BenefitsSanford Health offers an attractive benefits package for qualifying full-time and part-time employees.
