As a member of the IT Management Team, you are responsible for managing, developing, and leading a team of employees. Your role includes leading the specific functional responsibilities of your team, which involves overseeing team performance and deliverables. However, your role as a leader within our organization requires more than the management of resources and day-to-day operations. As a steward of the company, you are charged with the development and execution of your team\xe2\x80\x99s strategic vision and plan and ensuring that your team\xe2\x80\x99s actions align with the larger goals of the company and the IT Division.

The Data Science Manager leads the Data Science CoE team of data scientists and analysts, this role will recruit, manage, mentor, and inspire data science team(s); managing performance, goals, and development potential. Cultivate professional development opportunities.

ROLE

REQUIRED

\xe2\x97\x8f 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in data, analytics, data science to support critical business needs.

\xe2\x97\x8f 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience building and deploying scalable analytics and data science solutions.

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience in defining and implementing data strategy for the companies and teams fulfill the transition to being data driven.

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience partnering with business teams to architect and strategize technology and data roadmap.

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience building and leading successful data science teams including mentorship and career development of both data engineers and analyst team members.

\xe2\x97\x8f Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, Python, Machine Learning / Deep Learning.

\xe2\x97\x8f Expertise with at least one data visualization tool, preference: PowerBI.

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience with cloud data infrastructure and building things in a repeatable, scalable way in Databricks.

\xe2\x97\x8f Extensive and/or in-depth knowledge of data science, machine learning, forecasting and optimization modeling, and algorithms.

\xe2\x97\x8f Strong communication skills with the ability to level the conversation to business audiences with different technical backgrounds and build strong relationships across departments.

\xe2\x97\x8f Proven track record of active coaching and mentorship of leading teams to further their career and improve their skills.

\xe2\x97\x8f Strong familiarity with the Agile development process and proven ability to prepare a project plan, communicate the plan to the team, and break the work down into trackable tasks.

\xe2\x97\x8f HIPAA Training and Supervisors Orientation (within 30 days of hire); Leadership Development 101 (within one year); Costco Pay Policies (within 90 days of promotion).

Recommended

\xe2\x97\x8f 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with a Bachelor\'s degree, 8 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with Masters, or 6 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with PhD.

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience in retail - personalization, marketing, eCommerce, Supply Chain.

\xe2\x97\x8f Statistical mindset and a strong curiosity about retail business processes and data.

\xe2\x97\x8f Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong ability to tell a story with data and visualizations.

\xe2\x97\x8f Experience deploying and maintaining machine learning models in a cloud environment, using containers, data bricks is a plus.

Pay Range: $135,000 - $200,000, Bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligible
