They will coach classroom educators (TFA alum & non-TFA educators) towards expanding their perspectives and knowledge to go beyond traditional expectations to advance the academic and personal growth of their students. You will accomplish this through partnering with communities, students and families, as well as the leadership development team in Oklahoma City.WHAT YOU\xe2\x80\x99LL BE RESPONSIBLE FORCoach and Develop Educators (TFA alum & non-TFA educators) (55%)Diagnose classrooms against a very high bar for content-specific outcomes, instruction, and teacher leadership through observation, examination of artifacts, stakeholder conversations, and collection and analysis of student outcomes data.Coach educators to apply their unique strengths and talents to their work, embody Teach For America\xe2\x80\x99s Core Values and DEI Commitment, and bring their classroom visions to life.Design coaching experiences that yield observable change for studentsFacilitate small group sessions and design learning experiences that enhance teacher efficacy and create communities of collaboration.Coach educators around diversity, equity and inclusiveness to ensure they are making progress in their development and integrating equitable practices in their classrooms.Help educators understand the community in which they teach, and support them to build meaningful relationships with students, families, educators, and other partners within the community.Foster a Committed Community (25%)Design and execute strategies to build a sense of belonging and shared commitment among teachers (TFA alum & non-TFA educators) in partnership programsBuild meaningful relationships with school level staff, administration and people in the community that may offer differing perspectives, to build a culture that celebrates unique contributions and unites people around shared values and common purpose.Data and Communications (5%)Support the broader Instructional Leadership Development (ILD) team with communications, operations, and data tracking and analysis.Collective Responsibilities (15%)Integrate and drive toward National and Regional Priorities in workParticipate in all staff regional commitments (e.g., selection, matriculation, all corps events, team meetings)Actively participate and seek out experiences that push your perspective along our DEI outcomesAttend and actively engage in professional development conferences and learning groupsAdapt to the changing needs of the organization, supporting various initiatives as neededResponsibly steward resources through consistent compliance with all employee policies and expectations policies and expectationsA WEEK IN THE LIFEOver the course of any week, the M, Instructional Leadership Development might spend time:Observing and coaching educators, instructional and school leaders on a weekly basisDesigning and implementing professional development experiencesAnalyzing data to assess progress and take aligned actionMeeting with partners to ensure alignment with their coaching and directionYOUR EXPERIENCEMinimum of two years of experience achieving ambitious outcomes as a classroom teacher in a low-income community requiredDemonstrates professional maturity and sound judgmentAbility to build relationships and create alignment with individuals with a range of perspectivesSophisticated ability to influence others (peers and/or corps members) to achieve outcomes; experience in lateral management preferredAn understanding and deep belief in fostering culturally responsive educatorsDeep knowledge of content and pedagogyAbility to coach and develop others to measurable improvements in student achievement and/or teacher proficiencyAbility to design high impact adult learning experiences that lead to change in the classroomAbility to track tasks, assess progress, and follow through on the execution of plansDeep understanding of race and class and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusivenessAbility to analyze and use large amounts of data to inform and adjust strategyA belief in and experience developing meaningful relationships with students\xe2\x80\x99 families that supports path-changing learning for their studentBachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree requiredBONUS (preferred qualifications)Preferred Prior Experience and/or Education:Experience coaching adults preferredWork Demands:Travel 3-6 times/year | 8-10 times/year (statewide)Able to travel to national conferences or trainings 2-4 times per year.Ability to travel independently to multiple locations for work throughout Oklahoma and store/bring items to those locations.Occasional evening and weekend work is expected.YOUR FUTURE TEAMOklahomans pride themselves on banding together, rising to meet challenges, and coming out stronger and smarter than they began. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is $61,300-91,900.New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
