Compensation (Based on experience and qualifications):

Location: 1900 S Western Avenue

Schedule: Monday - Friday (Hybrid role with WFH possibilities)

As the Manager of Marketing and Communications, you will be responsible for creating and implementing the organization\'s communications strategy with key audiences, including patients, community members, donors, local elected officials, and others. You will be a key leader within our team, and your creativity and innovative strategies will be essential in driving our success. Primary areas of responsibility include bilingual content production for social media, web, and print, handling all media inquiries, analyzing and reporting on key performance metrics, assisting with all PR events, and supporting the External Affairs department in other tasks, as needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Assume primary responsibility for Esperanza\'s online and print communications, including the writing of social media, digital newsletter, and web content, as well as brochures, flyers, reports, etc.

  • Create and implement communication strategies to effectively reach key Esperanza stakeholders, including established and prospective patients, donors, local elected officials, area community organizations, etc.
  • Respond in a timely and accurate manner to online inquiries and promptly address patient feedback received through social media and the Esperanza website.
  • Analyze marketing metrics and prepare monthly reports for the VP of External Affairs
  • Serve as the primary point person for all media inquiries and identify Esperanza personnel for interviews and stories. Cultivate strong relationships with reporters.
  • Prepare press releases and media pitches. Monitor press mentions and ensure that these are updated on the Esperanza website.
  • Schedule PR events, handle logistics and supervise day-of activities.
  • As needed, provide assistance with other departmental activities, including design and production of collateral, website updates, fundraising event support, etc.
  • Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with other Esperanza staff to further the mission of the organization.

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, required.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms required, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Three years of professional and/or academic background in marketing and communications preferred.
  • Candidates who are naturally curious and informed about current events, local and national news, and pop culture trends are highly desirable.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically and be a self-starting, independent worker who can see project through to completion.
  • Other duties as assigned.
