Our client, a leading specialty active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) development and manufacturing company, is seeking a Senior EHS Manager in their Wilmington, DE location. You\xe2\x80\x99ll oversee the performance of in-house and contracted personnel, ensuring the achievement of safety and environmental objectives. Your responsibilities will encompass hiring, training, and managing the team, as well as participating in contract negotiations for third-party support.

About the Role:

• Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety systems to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in a hazardous pharmaceutical chemical manufacturing facility.
• Manage and administer the company\xe2\x80\x99s safety, environmental, and health policies, fostering a zero-incident culture.
• Oversee the site\'s environmental permit programs, air, and wastewater to maintain 100% compliance and adapt programs for new product introductions.
• Strengthen and manage process safety programs, adhering to OSHA\'s Process Safety Management regulations and EPA\'s regulations for the Prevention of Accidental Chemical Releases.
• Lead the internal and external EHS audit program, create the annual operating plan (AOP), and serve as the site contact for environmental, safety, and health affairs with regulatory agencies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Safety Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field from a four-year college or university.
• 10+ years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced knowledge and training in hazardous chemicals and spill response is required.
• Preferred experience of 5+ years in managing employees within an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) department.
• Experience in managing EHS programs in a PSM covered site is preferred.
