Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Martial Arts Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in martial arts, particularly in disciplines such as Tang Soo Do (karate) and possess the ability to educate and inspire students of all ages. This role involves teaching martial arts techniques, promoting physical fitness, and fostering a positive learning environment. Staring our weekend little ninjas program and then growing from there.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to various skill levels. Instruct students in martial arts techniques, including self-defense, forms, and sparring. Promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyles through martial arts training. Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe and respectful environment. Organize and lead classes for different age groups, from children to adults. Provide feedback and encouragement to students to help them improve their skills. Participate in community events and demonstrations to promote the martial arts program. Collaborate with other instructors for curriculum development and student progress tracking. Ability to sell membership and perform intro classes

Requirements

Proven experience in martial arts instruction or sports coaching, preferably with a focus on Karate or similar disciplines. the instructor will do Saturday morning class for our little ninjas ages 5-6 The possibility to have an older class as well on Saturday. Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere. Ability to educate students effectively while adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs. Experience in physical education or related fields is a plus; Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students. A passion for health and fitness, with a commitment to promoting well-being through martial arts. Certification in first aid/CPR is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 3 per week
