We're passionate about preserving memories and enhancing artistic expression through bespoke framing solutions. What You'll Do:

As a Mat Room Operations Specialist at Hall of Frames, you'll play a vital role in the efficiency and quality of our framing operations. You'll be working behind the scenes to ensure the mat cutting process runs smoothly, contributing to the creation of stunning framed artwork. Here's what you'll be responsible for:

CNC Machine Operation:

Operate and maintain computerized CNC mat cutting machines, including Gunnar and Vizart, ensuring precision cuts and optimal performance. Adjust settings such as blade profiles, pressure settings, and cutting heads for accurate results.

Mat Cutting & Machine Operation:

Follow detailed cutting instructions from Fullcalc and FrameReady systems to ensure accurate cuts and label them correctly.

Inventory Management:

Manage mat inventory, conduct cycle counts, and track materials used. You'll ensure mats are stored and organized efficiently, recycling scrap materials where appropriate, and ensuring quality standards.

Order Prioritization:

Manage incoming cutting orders and prioritize them based on urgency (rush, morning/afternoon runs, commercial, or online orders). Adhere to schedules to meet the needs of various store locations and customers.

Receiving & Quality Control:

Receive shipments of mat materials, verify order accuracy against purchase orders, and inspect for quality. Report discrepancies or defects promptly and ensure that only high-quality materials are used in production.

Proactive Communication:

Maintain clear and proactive communication with the purchasing team and store locations, providing updates on stock levels, order status, and potential delays to ensure smooth operations.

Restocking & Organization:

Maintain a tidy, organized mat cutting area, ensuring materials are restocked on time and scrap mats are properly managed for efficient reuse.

Maintenance & Documentation:

Perform regular maintenance on the Gunnar and Vizart machines, including replacing blades and cleaning. Accurately document mat types, quantities, and cut details through CMAC paperwork to ensure all processes are tracked and compliant.

What We're Looking For:

Mat Cutting & Machine Operation Experience (Preferred):

Experience working with mat cutting machines or in a manufacturing environment is highly valued. Experience with the Gunnar mat cutting machine is a plus.

Attention to Detail:

Precision is key in this role. You'll need to stay focused and organized to ensure high-quality cuts and proper inventory management.

Organizational Skills:

You're highly organized and can manage multiple tasks at once without missing a beat. Whether it's keeping the mat room neat or prioritizing orders, you excel in creating systems that work.

Strong Communication Skills:

You can clearly and proactively communicate with purchasing teams, store locations, and colleagues to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure smooth workflow coordination.

Independent Worker:

You're self-motivated and can follow complex procedures with little supervision, taking ownership of your work.

Basic Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

You're able to perform basic maintenance on equipment, ensuring it stays in top working condition.

Physical Stamina:

This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment with varying demands.

Why You'll Love Working Here:

Creative Environment:

Join a team that thrives on creativity and craftsmanship, where your skills directly contribute to the creation of beautiful artwork.

Positive, Supportive Team:

At Hall of Frames, you'll work with a team of passionate individuals who value attention to detail and dedication to quality.

Opportunities for Growth:

As part of our team, you'll gain valuable experience, and we provide opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.

Competitive Pay & Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary along with a benefits package to ensure you feel valued and supported in your role.
