This mechanic position will be based in our Wyoming location and will have responsibility for inventory control. This will include reworking project and buyback vehicles along with preparing vehicle for scrap, moving crated vehicles, crating and uncrating vehicles and inventory control in our vehicle yard. This position will also support project overflow when needed, maintenance on project bikes and 5S work in the shop and vehicle yard.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage vehicles as needed for service, maintenance, and updates
  • Riding/driving vehicles for testing or final checks
  • Consistent on maintaining 5S initiatives
  • Operate a forklift in a safe manner
  • Able to load Motorcycles or Slingshots onto truck or trailer for transportation
  • Keep good records for tracking vehicles
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and meet OSHA requirements
  • Good self-starter, willing to work overtime as needed
  • Needs to be ambitious, accurate and dependable
  • Able to communicate professionally and drive project to timely completion
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as required
  • Travel up to 25% to other test facilities and to the Product Development facility in MN
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • High school diploma required
  • 2-Year degree in technical field preferred
  • Work experience at a dealership preferred
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license required; Advanced Riders Course (BRC2) required or ability to obtain within 60 days
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Powersports experience preferred
