Mechanical Designer/Drafter - Tymetal Corp.Tymetal Corp. has a rewarding full-time opportunity for a Mechanical Designer/Drafter in our Fort Miller, NY office. Our Designer/Drafter will work closely with sales to develop submittal drawings using AutoCAD and will also support the manufacturing team with shop drawings using SolidWorks.Excellent benefits are provided, including:

Responsibilities of our Mechanical Designer/Drafter:

• Develop and maintain layouts, cut sheets and designs for our steel and aluminum gate products.
• Prepare drawings from photos, detailed notes and product specifications for the sales and manufacturing departments.
• Generate manufacturing bills of material (BOM\'s).
• Convert sales orders to manufacturing work orders using our ERP software.
• Recommend design modifications to improve and/or simplify finished product.
• Update and modify drawings based on Engineering Change Notices submitted by manufacturing.

Qualifications of our Mechanical Designer/Drafter:

• AAS in Mechanical Drafting or Design, or equivalent work experience.
• SolidWorks and AutoCAD proficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Familiarity with document management systems.
• Manufacturing and steel or aluminum fabrication experience preferred.
