Summary:This position will be part of a team that sources, produces, edits, and publishes content that benefits our partners in the educational and research communities across the state and the Alaska SeaLife Center (ASLC). The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of storytelling through video, print, blogs, email newsletters, have excellent organizational and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to manage complex projects from conception to delivery, often with tight deadlines. This role will coordinate closely with our Community Organized Restoration and Learning (CORaL) Network partners and the ASLC education, research, and communications teams to produce short media stories that advance the mission of the organizations.Education/Training Requirements:Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in photojournalism, filmmaking, multi-media, communications, or similar field.Essential Duties: * Responsible for outreach that is relevant, co-created, and culturally responsive to our seven regional communities and the communities impacted by the oil spill, including Kodiak Island and the Kenai Peninsula.
