Several of them serve as chief of gastroenterology at nearby hospitals, and a number of them have been recognized as top-quality physicians in publications, including but not limited to: Best Doctors in America and Top Doctors New Jersey, and US News Health - US News & World Report.We are excited to announce we are looking for a Full-Time, Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist at Gastroenterology Group of Northern New Jersey at 420 Grand Ave., Suite 101, Englewood, NJ.About the Role:The Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facility by serving as the first point of contact for patients. This position is responsible for managing patient appointments, handling inquiries, and maintaining accurate patient records, which are essential for providing high-quality care. The Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist will also facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring that all necessary information is conveyed efficiently. By managing administrative tasks effectively, this role contributes to a positive patient experience and supports the overall functionality of the healthcare team. Ultimately, the Medical Assistant/Medical Receptionist helps to create a welcoming environment that prioritizes patient care and satisfaction.Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage appointment scheduling and confirm patient visits.
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding services and procedures.
• Maintain and update patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld.
• Assist with billing and insurance verification processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience in a medical office environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in medical office administration or graduate of medical assistant program preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
